Vincent has been a volunteer with the Harwinton Ambulance for 22 years. He served Harwinton in a variety of management roles including 4 years as the Chief of Service. Vincent also worked for a large commercial service for 14 years, 10 of those years as a paramedic supervisor. He is a two time recipient of Northwest Connecticut 's EMT of the Year award, most recently in 2002.
